As an example for a pedestrian-friendly signal control I have chosen this intersection. When no vehicles or pedestrians in the Paradestraße are detected their signals stay red. If a vehicle in the Paradestraße is detected pedestrians get also Green to allow crossing the Tempelhofer Damm. If pedestrians press the button they get a longer Green time to allow a comfortable crossing of the Tempelhofer Damm.
